I like to joke that Miss V is a princess in training. She loves nothing better than getting dressed up to the nines, getting her hair all pretty and then strutting her stuff royally. She is super excited about meeting the newest addition to the Disney Junior lineup in 2012 with a the special premier of Sofia the First: Once Upon A Princess airing exclusively on Disney Junior on Saturday, November 24 at 7pm ET!
I will be making Saturday night an event by heading over to the Sofia the First page on Disney Junior to print off some fun activities, we will dress up and whip up some extra special treats for the premier. Follow along with the hashtag #SofiaTheFirst and/or #DisneyJuniorMom on twitter to join in on the live tweeting I hope to get in. I can’t promise as I may be too busy waltzing and eating finger sandwiches, but not at the same time because that would be too messy.
A bit about Sofia the First:
Sofia’s royal adventure begins as she prepares to move into the castle with her mom, starting a new family with her step-father, King Roland II, and step-siblings, Amber and James. Sofia soon discovers that looking like a princess isn’t all that difficult, but displaying honesty, loyalty, courage, compassion, independence and grace is what makes one truly royal…
This special presentation, and upcoming series, stars the voices of Ariel Winter (Modern Family) as Sofia; Sara Ramirez (Grey’s Anatomy) as Queen Miranda; Wayne Brady (Let’s Make A Deal) as Clover; Tim Gunn (Project Runway) as Baileywick.
While you are watching Sofia the First make sure to watch closely as Disney Junior is launching a very special Sofia The First Book Contest right after the premier. You will need to know the answer to a certain question for your chance to win one of 150 Sofia The First Book Prize Packs! We were sent a copy of this fantastic fairy tale as a special gift and Miss V has been reading it every day and once before bed. Maybe I should place a pea under her mattress…
