I love this easy and delicious recipe for Apple Crisp. Make it Christmas morning and call it breakfast. Since it has oatmeal and apples I’d say it qualifies.
What you’ll need
- 5 cups sliced apples
- 2/3 – 3/4 cup brown sugar (more is always better)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon and nutmeg (you can up this to 3/4 if you like extra cinnamon)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×9 pan. Layer sliced apples in the greased pan. Mix together all the other ingredients until a loose dough forms then crumble evenly over top of the apples. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Serve hot topped with vanilla ice cream or on its own.
