There are all kinds family friendly activities that are enjoyed with kids over the summer but  some activities are much more fun with a crowd. Summer concerts are one of those things, and there aren’t many concerts that elicit squeals of excitement from hoards of preteens more than Family Channel’s Big Ticket Summer Concert. This concert is a trifecta of awesome for kids.

This past Monday we checked out this years Big Ticket Summer Concert Presented by Lego Friends on its stop in Edmonton, Alberta. From the laughs we had in between sets thanks to Host  Calum Worthy, star of Austin & Ally and his own short series The Coppertop Flop Show, to rocking out to Cody Simpson, it was an experience I don’t think we will ever forget.

We even had fun in between sets with the Lego Friends band setup. I know what will be on my kids Christmas wish list now.

Other Performers at the Edmonton show included Megan Nicole, Sabrina Carpenter and The Next Step Dancers. Each of them fabulous at their particular act. Megan Nicole had us on our feet, Sabrina Carpenter had us dancing, the next step dancers had some of us dreaming of what could be and Cody Simpson has us singing along!

If you haven’t had the chance to attend one with your kids I would definitely plan on it next year. Just don’t forget the earplugs to muffle the screams of joy. In the meantime catch a Special Presentation of this years Toronto show Friday, September 5 at 8 p.m on Family Channel.

It’s the BIGGEST concert of the summer and Family has the best seats in the house! On Saturday, August 23, the hottest artists and Family stars took the stage to perform at Family Channel’s Big Ticket Summer Concert at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto. In this special presentation of the live-event, viewers will be treated to electrifying performances by Cody Simpson, Sabrina Carpenter, Megan Nicole, Crystalyne, the cast of The Next Step and host, Calum Worthy.

I can’t leave you without a couple of more pictures. Cody Simpson singing his heart out.

My daughters first autograph courtesy of Callum Worth. She is only disappointed that it’s going to eventually wash off.
