A couple of weeks ago we received a super fun package in the mail that put my house into battle mode. You would think having a house full of mostly girls would eliminate this kind of fun, but my girls are just as much into boys toys as I was as a kid. Within minutes we geared up and took to the front yard to battle it out Nerf style.
DD and DS ready for battle.
The Swarmfire: A fully automatic blaster that shoots 20 darts in quick succession.
The Nerf Dart Tag 2-Player Starter Pack: complete starter set that includes 2 sharp shot blasters, 2 jerseys and 2 pairs of safety eye-wear.
The Nerf Blasters and Swarmfire are rated for age 8 and up. My 8 and 9 year old daughters had a blast with the Nerf gear and spent a good hour running around firing off rounds. Heck even I decided to give them a go. I have to admit they are seriously fun. I can’t wait to have a round with my Hubby. Loser does the dishes for a week!
My 5 year old son and 6 year old daughter got out there and tried them too, but the Swarmfire while easy to use was a bit hefty because of the 6 C batteries and cumbersome because it’s a large gun. The Blasters my son had trouble getting them to shoot but after a few tries did manage to figure it out. I also suggest that the Swarmfire be used in a large area. Those little darts sting if you are too close when getting shot at.
Nerf Dart Tag is great family fun! In fact when shopping for a birthday gift this week picking up a set was first on my list. Do I recommend them. Absolutely.
