I’ve been on avocado kick for the past few years and love looking for new ways to use them in every day meals. I enjoy this fruit mashed up on whole grain toast with a little lemon, salt and pepper, in turkey and broccoli pizza, and of course the ever popular Guacamole, but none are as loved in my house as this easy avocado smoothie.
I stumbled upon using them in a smoothie after becoming addicted to Dream Tea. I would go in for my usual kiwi or berry slush and see person after person picking up avocado smoothies. I just couldn’t understand the attraction of them because to me avocado was a savory, not sweet treat. Finally I couldn’t take it any more and just had to give it a try.
It was love at first sip.
The avocado smoothie is creamy and sweet with a mild taste. You can bulk it up with a little steamed spinach or just leave it as is for a vitamin packed snack.
