By now most people I know have ditched the resolutions and are back into bad habits. It’s one of the reasons I don’t make resolutions. Because of balance and joint issues I have only been able to keep up with my daily walks the past month or so, but am starting to come out of the fog thanks to my Chiropractor and ENT. I am ready to get back into the groove and up my fitness ante this month. The goal – make more headway in my weight loss goals. I have maintained my 10 pound loss from last year, now it’s time to take off the last 15-20 pounds. Who’s with me?
Last month I was lucky enough to win an XBox 360 with Kinect from the lovely and ever fabulous @theonlinemom and it gave me an idea. By the way…she throws some fun and informative weekly twitter chats on Wednesday nights from 9-10 pm Est. You can head over here to learn more and to RSVP.
Back on topic. I have enjoyed playing the Kinect games with the kids and hubby and have noticed that not only are they fun, they make you sweat. That is a very good thing! So…in February I will be doing my daily workout with the Xbox (30 minutes a day5-6 days a week). I am thinking of it as a little experiment. Putting the Xbox with Kinect to the test to see if it’s possible to lose weight while playing video games and maintaining a healthy diet. Since I haven’t been able to Jog, Ugi or Yoga it will be a great way to get fit in a fun new way. I still plan on keeping up with my daily walks too. To up the workout I may add in wrist weights since my arms need a bit of loving.
So here are the measurements to start with.
Bicep (upper arm) – 12 inches
Bust – 38
Waist – 35.5
Hips – 40
Thigh – 24 3/4
And weight in clothes and shoes 162 lbs
