Putting Finish Quantum to the Test

Getting ready to do battle with dirty dishes.

As you read in the last month I love my dishwasher and I love Finish Dishwasher detergents.  This month has been an exciting one in our house because we have had a chance to really test both out thanks to guests and Easter dinner.  Our challenge as part of the #FinishRevolution team, put Finish Quantum to the test with some of my nastiest dishes, and boy did I ever.  I take my job very seriously, and over the past month have been busy testing Finish Quantum against my usual detergents (Finish 2 in 1 Gel and PowerBall Tabs)  as well as an eco-friendly detergent and another major brand.  To make the test even tougher I left some of the dishes overnight to really set the food.

The first challenge my turkey pan and the pan that held my secret sauce baked potatoes.  Normally I have to let the pans sit for a few hours with hot soapy water then use serious elbow grease or hubby to get the stains off.  It’s no small job.  I honestly wasn’t sure that even the Finish Quantum would be able to get them completely clean.  It not only got both pans clean save for a couple that wiped off easily (probably poor positioning), it got some stains off I was sure were set forever.  Check this out! The last two pictures are of day old oatmeal bowls.  That was a really sticky test and Finish Quantum and Finish Powerball did an amazing job.  I ran the same oatmeal test with the other dishwasher detergents and all of them but the Finish products I had to soak the bowls after they had run through the dishwasher once, scrape off the stubbornly stuck oatmeal and ended up just washing them by hand.  The Finish 2 in 1 gel left a bit less residue then the others, but Quantum out performed them all.  I am sold on the effectiveness of the new Finish Quantum 100% and will be keeping them on hand from now on.  A product that can give me time back is my best friend.  I encourage you to go out and put it to the test for yourself.  Let me know what you find, and then stop by the Finish Canada Facebook page and share there too!

  1. My daily oatmeal bowls were very hard to clean before Finish. I had to soak them and scrub..I am in total love with Finish Tabs: no more rinsing and scrubbing. Love the pictures!

  2. WOW JULIA! I bet you were completely shocked 🙂 Oatmeal is impossible, I didn’t even think of that. I might just have to try some tomorrow to put Finish to the test.
