Today I am delving into the world of SEO (search engine optimization) and trying to wade my way through all the information and make some sense of it. It was only a week ago that I first heard the term and, what else, Googled it. I am not sure I have had enough sleep in the past 10 years to make my brain wrap around the concept. Oh well I will prevail and eventually raise my PR rating (page rank).
I know to most of my readers that all is gobbledegook. Consider it my random thought of the day. HMMM recipe day today. What culinary masterpiece should I share with all of you? So far I have shared:
I think that today I will share with you my all time favorite combination of spices. I mix these up in an old spice shaker and use it on pretty much all my chicken recipes and it is fabulous on popcorn.
4 tsp salt
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground thyme
1 tsp pepper
1/4-1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2-2/3 tsp garlic powder
As usually I lean towards less spicy and more garlicky so change it up a bit as needed. The original recipe called for 1 tsp white pepper and only 1/2 black pepper, but I only had black and it was still delish. The seasoning works especially well on a whole chicken. I like adding a bit to soft butter and rubbing the spice/butter combo into and under the skin. Chickens cooked with this spice also make a super yummy stock for my Oma’s Chicken or Turkey soup.
Looking into my recipe binder has made me hungry. Good thing it’s almost time for lunch. Try this mix out and stop back in and let me know what you all thought.
