Father’s day around here is pretty low-key. The kids and I decided long ago that this day would be simple and filled with fun! The fun all starts early in the morning with the keeping of kids quiet so that Papa can sleep in as long as possible.
First thing to do in that case is stock up on Kinder Eggs. Normally I don’t allow chocolate in the mornings, but on special occasions I make exceptions. I know for sure that a Kinder Egg it guarantees a little quiet time followed by LOTS of creativity and imaginative play.
The empty shells of Kinder Egg toys naturally lend themselves to crafts. Did you know they are perfect for creating your very own Minion Army, and who doesn’t want a plethora of mini minions of their own? What you do with the mini minions once they are made is entirely up to you. We’ll be having our own version of Minion Run using pieces of wood or empty wrapping paper rolls as slides (If I can find some) and playing baseball with pool noodles as bats and empty kinder containers as balls. Heck we may even take it all the way to the tub for a little splash down competition – good, clean, fun.
If making your own minions isn’t your thing, no worries! For a limited time you can find Minions toys inside specially marked KINDER® SURPRISE® Classic eggs. We have already started our collection and can’t wait to snag every Steve, Bob and Kevin we can, there are 11 to collect!
With summer officially here we are Egg-cited at all the possibilities for family fun. For great ideas to help keep the kids busy, opportunities to win eggciting prizes, and so much more visit the Kinder Canada Facebook page and give them a follow.
