Werther's No Sugar Added Candies Save My Family from Hangry Mommy.

I agreed to never say Diet again, but that doesn’t mean that I have stopped thinking about making a positive move forward when it comes to my health. A sedentary job, combined with a late night snacking habit are two sure ways to guarantee that I will never lose my blogger butt. Another thing I am guilty of is overindulging on things I love. I know I need to cut out the sweets, but I also know that if I cut them out completely I will turn into a hangry mess within a day or two.

The key to success is making small changes for big impact down the road. While I ditched Cola more than a year ago I hung onto a daily Diet Lemon/Lime Soda habit – that is until last month. Now the only thing I drink daily is water, coffee and tea. It’s now time to ditch the dessert habit and try something new.  “Just a little piece” of dessert after dinner adds up to a whole lot. Sometimes with no sugar added candies you worry that they won’t taste good or be as satisfying, these really are both. I gave each the flavours a try and aside from the chocolate caramel candy loved all the flavours. The Original flavour tastes just like it’s sugary counterpart. Caramel mint has just a hint of mint which I love. Caramel apple has a very subtle taste that is perfect if you don’t like super sweet treats. My favourite of them all though is the coffee caramel. While I am parting ways with many of my favourite thing coffee, in all it’s forms will not be one of them.

In addition to reducing sugar consumption I am making a concentrated effort to eat more veggies by swapping out rice and potatoes with dinner for a side salad (no dressing) and eating smaller portions at each meal. Even Hubby has agreed to join in on the healthy eating challenge!
