Winnie the Pooh – Return to the Hundred Acre Wood

In this all new classic we head back to the Hundred Acre Wood for a heartwarming reunion with our beloved bear and all of his friends for more fun adventures.

Inspired by five stories from A.A. Milne’s books and created in Disney’s signature hand drawn style, this all new classic introduces one of the world’s most cherished characters to a whole new generation.  Narrated by John Cleese and bursting with brand new songs performed by Zooey Deschanel, this wonderfully whimsical film is a must-own for every families movie collection.

I have always been a huge Winnie the Pooh fan, in fact my first babies nursery was done up in a classic pooh theme.  We had all the stuffed animal, books and movies.  I even sang the “Little Black Rain Cloud” to my babies to send them off to dream land or when they were sad.  My children have all loved Pooh Bear as much as me so when we were asked to review the newest Winnie The Pooh Movie – 2-Disc DVD Combo Pack (DVD+BD ) [Blu-ray] we literally jumped at the chance.

We popped this movie in on Saturday for family movie night and all of us were transported back in time to the 100 Acre Wood.  Even my husband was surprised at how well done this movie was.  His comments, “I thought Disney no longer did hand drawn animations.” and “It’s nice, because it takes you back to classic Disney.”  I have to agree.  It was so enjoyable for all of us to watch this movie together.  At just over an hour playing time it’s also the perfect length for little ones who just can’t sit still for longer films.  I love the bonus features, one of which was “Pooh Balloon” short which is my “Little Black  Rain Cloud” song.  Heck there wasn’t anything about this movie that wasn’t pure joy, that’s why it makes the 2011 Gift Guide.

You can find Winnie the Pooh Return to the Hundred Acre Wood at your favorite retailer right now and it’s perfect for Christmas or just because.
